Full texts from public-domain translations: the Torah and Hebrew Bible from The Holy Scriptures (JPS, 1917), the New Testament from the King James Version, and the Quran from The Meaning of the Glorious Koran by Marmaduke Pickthall (1930). Translations differ, and a translation of the Quran is understood as an interpretation of its meaning. Pickthall uses "Allah" and older English forms such as "thee" and "saith"; the JPS and KJV use similar older English. Verse numbers follow the usual English numbering, which in a few places differs from printed Hebrew editions.
